1. God reveals Himself to be, by nature, omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent, perfect, unable to be tempted, unchanging, a Spirit not a man, the One worshipped not the worshipper, the One served not the servant, and fully independent.
2. Jesus is now perfect by what he suffered. Besides being perfect, Jesus shares none of those characteristics with God, and there are no verses that explicitly (or, I think, implicitly) state he ever will.
3. To prove Jesus is God, some of who God reveals Himself to be is contradicted as well as basic logic, and God never contradicts Himself.
4. Some passages in the Bible appear to point to Jesus’ deity, but given that Jesus being God contradicts in part who God has revealed Himself to be, other interpretations should be considered.
5. These other interpretations of Scripture, while generally considered to be unorthodox, do not contradict who God is or basic logic. These other interpretations also make more sense when the biblical context and the original languages of the Bible are studied. These interpretations are, then, the better interpretations.
Therefore, I do not believe Jesus is God.
